Best Wedding EVER!

Ok, so it was really one of the top three. The list is something like this:

Top back yard wedding - Jeff and Karen

Top normal wedding - Buck & Lisa

Top Formal Wedding - Melyssa and Brent!

I feel like I need to write them a letter and thank them for inviting me to join them on their special day. Frankly, NO ONE deserves a day like this more than my cousin. Melyssa is a fantastic girl and has had quite a few familial speed bumps to slow her down, but she is such an accomplished, loving and delightful young woman. That she found a guy to match is great, as Brent is just her equal. They are such a nice couple.

Anyhow, the wedding was spectacular. My favorite part...ok, well there were so many so here is a list:

* Photo booth. You got to go in and take pictures and they printed out in just a minute. Then the vendor pasted the photo strip in an album and you got a copy to go home with. How cool is that?

* The roses in crystal vase center pieces. *sigh* and my Corey won them, so now they are on my table at home, how fantastic?

* Food. Yummy. that is really all you can say about that! Filet and lobster tail with asparagus on the best mashed potatoes. Hors d'oeuvres were coconut lobster skewers, lamb chops (YUM!) cheese and fruit, scallops wrapped in bacon and sushi. The appetizer was the most delicious crab cake I have EVER had. YUMMA!

* The bar was open and flowing all night. Wine of your choice was served with dinner. Champagne was also served with dinner and at the door on the way in.

* Melyssa's dress. Va-va-voom! Oh be still everyone's heart. She was knock-em-over, drop-dead gorgeous. The dress was just so fitting and had some bling and was so elegant. *sigh* Just fab!

* The best man's speech. Appropriate, but funny. He has known Brent longer than Melyssa has, so he mentioned when they first got together. It was funny but warm and endearing too.

* Dancing. Jeff, Karen, Rachey, Nick, Mom and I all danced a couple together. That was a hoot.

* Rachey's dress. Could the kid be any cuter?

* The flower girl. OH MY GOODNESS, who knew a 3 year old could be that cute in a church!??!
* Family time with mom, dad, Jeff, Karen, Nick, Rachey and Corey. It really was a fantastic time had by all. We were spiffed up, had out best manners on and really enjoyed one another's company.* Brent and Melyssa's first dance. SO romantic. I do believe they had been taking a lesson or two or maybe choreographed the dance. It was quite romantic! Oh and there was so much more, but I think we all just had a great time! I didn't want to leave and I've certainly been thinking about how much fun we all had since. Thank you Brent and Melyssa for a fantastic experience and letting us be there to share in your truly special day!
